Insulating Renders

When retrofitting a solid walled building, insulating renders can provide thermal improvement whilst maintaining the character of the building and limiting the overall thickness of build up. The thermal improvement will not be as great as the equivalent thickness of an insulation board, however the insulating renders are more versatile and can often be used where an insulating board cannot. With historic masonry being uneven, applying an insulation board can significantly change the appearance of the building, requiring a large amount of levelling plaster to flatten the walls. Insulating renders help maintain the appearance of a masonry structure with a thinner overall build up and flexibility to follow the contours of the wall.

We have two insulating render systems that we supply, St. Astier Novaskin and Secil Ecocork, both systems can be applied to solid masonry internally or externally as required and include insulating base coats as well as a separate top coat render.
