Schneider
Schnieder has been in operation as a medium-sized family business for more than 120 years. Its woodfibre products are made from regional wood, which reduces transportation impacts, and their innovative manufacturing process ensures that everything from the tree is utilised, from raw material cut from roundwood to the last chip pressed as a board or pellet.
Schneider places the highest value on an energy-efficient manufacturing process in the production and processing of all its products. To this end, they are certified to ISO 50001 and have undertaken Environmental Product Declarations – demonstrating sustainable manufacturing process and the ecological quality of its woodfibre products.
Ty-Mawr has been working with woodfibre since 1998 when we ran our first ecological building course, and have worked with it ever since because of its qualities as a breathable, insulating plaster carrier with far lower environmental impacts than mainstream alternatives. We started working with Schneider in 2018, and are delighted with the quality of their products and consistently excellent customer feedback. Their woodfibre boards and flexible woodfibre insulation are available in a range of sizes, perfect for wall and roof applications.
