Today's the day!!!  Once again Joyce, our intrepid Managing Director, is lacing up her walking boots to raise money for Velindre Cancer Centre - this time with a trek through Peru to the lost city of Machu Picchu!

When asked why she’s taking up another challenge, Joyce said:

“In 2015, I undertook a trek through Patagonia to raise funds for Velindre. It was beautiful and extraordinary, I think about it nearly every day, but the highlight for me came on the last night, as the 50 of us sat together, exhausted and then we heard that we had raised over £530,000 - it blew us away - it was so emotional and truly humbling to see just what is possible, when people step out of their busy lives for a while and put their minds together to do something like this.

I could not wait to keep in touch with Velindre and find an opportunity to help again. I am fortunate to have the support of family, friends, and colleagues, to be able to undertake this trek through Peru and start the rather daunting fund-raising process all over again as well as the training to walk at altitude for the first time! I will walk in memory of family and friends who have lost their battle with cancer as well as those who are fighting it now.”
