Historic Limekilns Talk

There is a talk on the 5th of December at Taylbont Village Hall at 7:30 on the three historic Limekilns at Watton (Brecon), Llangattock and Goytre that have been restored along the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal by the Canal & River Trust creating the Monmouthshire & Brecon Limekilns Trail. Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund Wales and Brecon Beacons Trust, volunteers gained new skills in traditional stone masonry and lime mortar pointing.

This is an opportunity to learn from the experts a little more of the history of the Brecon Beacons and help us understand built features in our landscape that contributed to our industrial past.
