This is a breathable rendering mortar, formulated with natural hydraulic lime, mixed with carefully selected aggregates, used as a finish coating in the renovation and rehabilitation of exteriors on old masonry.
Reabilita Cal AC Fino is only required as a final coat if the regular Cal AC does not give a smooth enough finish. Reabilita Cal AC Fino is not suitable for use as a finish directly onto a base coat. It must always be applied as an additional 2mm coat over a 3mm coat of the Reabilita Cal AC.

This Natural Hydraulic Lime based NHL Finishing Mortar is a dry mortar, formulated with natural hydraulic lime, for the finish coating in a fine breathable layer, in the renovation and rehabilitation in exteriors on old masonry.
Its tixotropy, adhesion and permeability properties are particularly adapted for the use over old rendered substrates.

Substrates prepared with REABILITA CAL AC mortar, trowelled and hardened are ready to receive REABILITA CAL AC FINO. In case of direct application on another type of render, these should be regular, cohesive, clean and without any type of material that affects the normal adhesion conditions.
REABILITA CAL AC FINO should be applied on REABILITA CAL AC surfaces while still fresh, but sufficiently hardened to receive this kind of finish.
Mortar Preparation
REABILITA CAL AC FINO should be mixed with the appropriate quantity of water (9,5 to 10,0 litres per 20 kg bag), in small quantities and using an electric mixer, so as to obtain a uniform and lump-free paste.
Application
Apply REABILITA CAL AC FINO with a metal trowel so as to obtain a smooth and homogeneous film in order to fill all surface pores of the mortar already applied.
The second layer should be applied when the first one is hardened, followed by the number of coats needed to obtain a perfectly smooth texture, never exceeding a total thickness of 1-2 mm.
Prior to the paint application, let REABILITA CAL AC FINO dry for at least 14 days. The painting scheme to be carried out should be of silicate base or aqueous base with good water vapour permeability.
Considerations
REABILITA CAL AC FINO should not be applied at room and substrate temperatures below 5 °C and above 30 °C. It has a curing period of 28 days.
In h ot a nd/or dry w eather o r w hen substrates are directly exposed to sunlight, the substrate should be previously wetted and application should only be started when it is dry.
Under these conditions daily watering of the surfaces should be carried out, for one week, so as to keep renders permanently moist.
Application in the presence of strong winds may cause render cracking. In such case, walls should be protected so as to minimize the effects of wind action.
The mixing water should be free of any impurities (clays, organic matter) and drinking water should be preferably used;
No mortar that has exceeded its open time should be applied. Do not soften mortars by adding water after preparation.
Do not add any other products to the mortar. REABILITA CAL AC FINO should be applied as it is shown in its original packaging.
