Tŷ-Mawr’s internal wall insulation systems are also part of our range of LABC registered sustainable building solutions. In addition to their thermal and acoustic performance, their vapour permeability properties help them to regulate humidity within the building contributing to a more comfortable and healthy living environment. These systems are ideal for the refurbishment of existing solid walls as well as cavity walls. Where internal space is limited or it is not possible to meet building regulations, lime hemp or eco cork plaster can be applied directly to the walls to add some thermal insulation and assist with airtightness, please contact us for an information sheet.

This example is based on achieving a u-value of 0.30 W/m2k or better, i.e. the elemental U - Value requirement from either the Welsh or English Approved Document L1BG, when upgrading the performance of an existing wall with internal or external insulation, although the exact standard that is achieved will depend on the type and thickness of the existing masonry wall they are applied too.
