Finishes - Can non-breathable finishes be used over the Sublime Floor?

With the correct preparation non-breathable finishes can be used over the Limecrete, see What does “Breathable” mean in a Limecrete floor?, this will affect the breathability of the top surface of the Limecrete, however the Glapor and underside of the Limecrete will continue to perform as required. The Glapor provides damp protection to the floor preventing any moisture reaching the limecrete, once the Limecrete has dried completely from installation there is no risk of absorbing any more moisture and a non-breathable finish can be installed. Typically the limecrete requires 3 months of good conditions to dry suitably for a non-breathable finish.
Note: A fully breathable construction is the ideal solution however there are instances where non-breathable finishes are required, these can include; porcelain/ ceramic tiles, using a self levelling compound to level the limecrete surface.
