Cork Façade Boards - launched at the 2015 Surface Design Show

 

Portugese PavilionBuilt with 5500m2 of cork façade board, the Portugese Pavilion in Shanghai was designed by architect Carlos Couto in harmony with the 'Better City, Better Life' concept, by using cork as a solution for an environment-friendly construction of the future.

Ty-Mawr is pleased to annouce that we are now a UK distributor for the cork facade board which was launched at the Surface Design Show in London during February 2015. Technical Director, Nigel Gervis, commented: "There was great enthusiasm for the product at the show. We are hopeful and very much look forward to supplying our first cork facade building in the UK.

Nigel added: "It ticks all the boxes in that it is visually appealing, durable, weather-proof, breathable and warm, whilst being highly sustainable. Cork wall smallIt compliments our existing range of products beautifully and we consider it a priilege to have the opportunity to work with Amorim in making this Portugese product available throughout the UK."
