Silver Medal for an 'Alice in Wonderland'-inspired garden!

Malvern Spring ShowA Festival Garden entry at the 2015 RHS Malvern Spring Festival, which has used a range of Ty-Mawr's products, has been awarded a Silver medal at the prestigious show.

Designer, Lorna Davies' entry, 'Alice in Wonderland' is a celebration of 150 years since the Lewis Carroll classic was published. Lorna's garden provides areas where themes captured from the book allow the viewer re-live their own experiences of a classic novel. The planting reflects the colours depicted in the book of reds, whites and blacks for the queens residences, and a riot of colour for the mad hatter.

The entry benefited from using Ty-Mawr's pigmented glaster®, which was rendered onto our Wood Wool Boards, which together provided a stunning backdrop for the entry.

A delighted Lorna said: "Thank you so much for your help and support. It really is excellent to view and has received lots of positive feedback from the judges and the public."

The unique Festival Gardens launched in 2014 enables novice gardeners with an enthusiasm for design to bring their dreams to life on a smaller scale than the RHS Show Gardens in Chelsea.

Festival Gardens can be inspired by any concept and could embrace new technology, trends and materials, and gives designers the freedom and opportunity to express themselves through the medium of plants and the garden.

The RHS Malvern Spring Festival started on Thursday May 7th and ran until Sunday May 10th.
