The Novaskin render system is a hydraulic lime based insulating render, produced with an expanded glass bead which provides excellent thermal performance whilst retaining high vapour permeability.
Suitable for internal and external use, the Novaskin system has a Class A1 fire rating meaning it is completely non-combustible.
This is a breathable render system, formulated with natural hydraulic lime, mixed with expanded aggregates, used in the renovation and retrofit of building where an insulating render is required for improving thermal performance.
Applied in coats of 20-40mm, up to a maximum of 100mm thick. Additional base coats can be applied once the previous coat has hardened. The final base coat should be allowed to dry for 7 days before applying the top coat.
The masonry should be repaired and repointed where required to provide a stable substrate. Any structural defects should be resolved prior to plastering.
The substrate must be thoroughly dampened down prior to application.
When used externally the render must finish at least 150mm above ground level.
From 8 to 30°C. In hot weather or strong winds, keep product cool and protected by spraying moderately for 24 hours.
Apply in two passes, the first pass should be a tight coat to cover the texture of the Novaskin Thermo Plus, as soon as the first pass has firmed up the second pass can be applied and trowelled to a finish using a steel trowel.
Novaskin coating is available in 6 colours: 020/023/024/029/075/086
