PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT

• Dampen the substrates the day before and prior to application. Allow the surface water to be reabsorbed.

RATIOS

• Mix for 3 to 5 minutes in pan type concrete mixer, drum mixer or with a whisk mixer (450 to 500 rpm). High-speed mixers (more than 500 rpm) are not recommended as they can over-mix the product and modify its performance. Manual mixing is not recommended.

APPLICATION 

The application of this one coat render is carried out in two passes.

• The first pass is applied to a thickness of 8 to 12mm in which a 10x10mm fibreglass mesh is embedded. The vertical and horizontal overlap between strips must be at least 10cm. Reinforcing mesh should be used for the inside corners of windows and door soffits.
• The second pass must be applied as soon as the first pass has firmed up and no more than 2 to 6 hours after the first application. The thickness of the second coat should be 8 to 12mm.

If the second pass is applied the next day, the first pass must be adjusted with a devil float or similar to be sufficiently rough to ensure good adhesion.

The total thickness of the render, after finishing, should be between 15 and 20mm.
