Details

THERMAFLEECE UltraWool (formerly TF35) is a high density wool based insulation designed to meet higher energy efficiency requirements. With a thermal conductivity of 0.035 W/mK, no quilted wool-based insulation meets the performance set by THERMAFLECE Ultrawool.

THERMAFLEECE Ultrawool contains 60% British wool, 30% recycled polyester and 10% polyester binder with a high recycled content.

Like all THERMAFLEECE products, it is longlasting, safe to handle and contributes to a healthier indoor environment by regulating moisture and absorbing harmful airborne substances in the home.

For more accurate cutting, tightly compress or clamp the insulation between two pieces of solid 15mm board. Overhang the slab where you want to cut keeping the two board edges aligned. Cut the edge with a scalloped edged knife and keep the blade firm and square against both board edges throughout.

WHY INSULATE WITH THERMAFLEECE TF35?

Insulating a property will significantly reduce the amount of energy lost from the building envelope, reducing energy consumption and carbon dioxide released to the atmosphere.

High Performance

With a Thermal Conductivity of 0.035 W/mK, THERMAFLEECE Ultrawool is the best performing natural fibre-based insulation on the market.

Cost Effective

Energy savings from using THERMAFLEECE Ultrawool means it can pay for itself in a few years.

Long Lasting

THERMAFLEECE Ultrawool contains a lofting agent to maintain durability, fibre stability and structural integrity.

Sustainable

THERMAFLEECE Ultrawool can reduce CO2 emissions by many tonnes over the lifetime of use. Wool also fixes in carbon dioxide helping reduce greenhouse gas levels.

Safe

THERMAFLEECE Ultrawool is safe to handle without the need for personal protective equipment. It can be recycled or safely disposed of at the end of its life.

Plastic is necessary for packing quilted natural insulation.  At present there is no alternative material available that provides adequate protection for our products during transit and storage.  We are constantly reviewing this position.  In our case, not only does plastic packaging protect the product, it also enables our supplier to compress the insulation greatly reducing packaging waste and carbon miles from factory gate to our warehouse, to you the customer. Our Thermafleece suppliers use recycle code 4 LDPE for all of their packaging.  Most of the insulation is compress packed in order to minimise packaging.  Compress packing also enables them to reduce the thickness of packaging.  The packaging weight per sqm of 100mm Thermafleece CosyWool is 22g per sqm their packaging waste is around a quarter of that from alternative brands of natural insulation.
