Ty Mawr's Sublime Floor Named Runner Up in Product of the Year

Date published: 03/10/2017

Founders and Directors of Ty-Mawr, Nigel and Joyce Gervis, were delighted to hear that their Sublime Insulated Limecrete Floor was named as runner up in the “Product of The Year” category at the prestigious 2017 National Energy Efficiency and Healthy Home Awards.

The floor has a positive impact on the environment by reducing energy consumption in buildings and it also encompasses low impact materials that reduce carbon dioxide emissions and divert ‘waste’ product from landfill. The flooring system is ideal for retrofit in old buildings that need to breathe and also in sustainable new builds – click here for more information. It now represents some 25% of Ty-Mawr’s business and hence the overall impact on the environment will continue to build as the number of floors installed spreads.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising these important awards to raise the profile of the impact of energy efficiency on the environment as well as the importance of the choice of material and technology to make our homes healthier and safer.
The evening was brilliantly compared by BBC’s Dan Walker and the awards presented by the Sir Lenny Henry making it a night to remember!
