Ty Mawr awarded British Standards Institute Standards!

We are delighted to announce that this week we have been awarded by the British Standards Institute our ISO9001:2008 Quality Management Standard and have now transitioned to the new BSI ISO14001:2015 Environmental Standard!

The Environmental Management System’s standard (ISO14001), was the world’s first international environmental standard and has been helping thousands of organisations to improve their environmental, sustainability and operational performance since it was first published as BS 7750 in 1992.
To ensure that ISO 14001 continues to serve organisations and maintain its relevance in today’s market place, the standard has been revised. The new standard addresses the change in environmental practices, and ensures that the management system is future proof.
Companies, organisations and society have a global responsibility to grow without compromising resources for future generations and the ISO 14001 standard helps them to demonstrate that they are doing just that.
Joyce Gervis, Managing Director said “We are extremely proud to have gained our quality standard for the 10th year running, it takes a huge commitment from management and staff throughout the year to ensure that legislation and established procedures are controlled and adhered to and through the process of management review are continually monitored and improved to ensure that we operate efficiently, legally, safely etc as well as ethically. We are especially pleased to have transitioned to the new 14001:2015 environmental management system standard – our clients choose to use our sustainable building materials because they are committed to the environment and reducing their own impact, the standard helps to reassure them that as a company it is an absolute priority for us to work within environmental legislation and to continually work to care for their environment and reduce our own environmental impact”.
