Todays the day!!! Our intrepid Accounts Manager Marg Price is completing her wing walk in aid of Velindre Cancer Care! She said ‘Being the Accounts Manager for Ty-Mawr Lime Ltd, I am lucky enough to be included in my Managing Director's fundraising efforts for cancer care in Wales. Having raised over £7,200 in 2015 with a trek through Patagonia, Joyce is once again undertaking a challenging trek, this time along with 50 others, including Rhod Gilbert, The Manic Street Preachers and Derek (The Weather) Brockway, to Machu Picchu in Peru. Following on from my parachute jump (a mere 15,000ft) which was incredible, this time I have the simple task of standing on the wing of a plane, and letting the pilot do all the work. Any monies I raise will be added to the total raised by Joyce – together over the last two challenges, I am proud to say that we will have raised around £13,000!”. Flown by one of AeroSuperBatics wingwalking display pilots, Marg will take to the skies on the top wing of one of their biplanes and experience an exciting series of flypasts, zoom climbs, steep dives and banks in front of family and friends, all while experiencing flying at speeds of up to 130mph! Marg has raised a fantastic amount of well over £1500 of sponsorship already pledged, which has given her lots of encouragement and shown her our admiration and appreciation of her bravery in this endeavour!!
