New Year Challenge for MD!

In 2015, our MD Joyce took part in a trek through Patagonia for Velindre Cancer Care. The group raised over £530,000 - inspired by this huge accomplishment, in 2017, Joyce, along with 42 other fund raisers, undertook another challenge, this time at altitude and camping along a little used remote Inca trail which eventually brought them to Machu Picchu, this was another hugely successful trek led by Rhod Gilbert which raised over £420,000 for Velindre.

Being a Managing Director of growing business and a Mum to three busy boys, Joyce undertakes the treks and challenges to give her the focus to step outside of her busy world and put her energies in to doing something for others showing that just diverting a relatively small amount of time and energy can make a huge difference to other lives as these treks have done.

2018 brings new challenges, this year Joyce and a small group of hardy souls are attempting an unsupported attempt to cover 100km across the Arctic Circle in 3-4 days. Along the way they’ll cross frozen lakes, skirt ancient glaciers, pass through the villages of the indigenous Sami people, witness some of the most stunning scenery on the planet, and get a glimpse of the Northern Lights whilst raising much needed funds for Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff.
