Hard resin oil is suitable for wood, cork, and open-pored stone or terracotta floor tiles.

You must prepare samples, especially when applying onto oak, tropical or resin –rich conifer and stone. The oil should be applied thinly and to the correct specification, thinning with balsam lacquer thinners. Ensure all excess oil is removed from the floor and allowed to cure between coats.

If the oil is applied too thickly or does not soak in and pools on the surface the oil surface can remain tacky for an extended period of time. If water droplets fall on the floor – especially easy in kitchens or bathrooms – before the floor coating has cured it can lead to white stains/watermarks.
