Usk Castle is a Scheduled Ancient Monument dating from the 12th century. Soft Llanbadoc shale was used in many areas of the build and so needs annual conservation.

Materials Supplied: Lime Mortar
The project was grant-aided by CADW who requested that the mortar be different colours in places to reflect later (post-medieval) repairs. Ty-Mawr submitted several samples to test before a suitable blend was chosen.
