Beecks Stand Oil External Wood Paint - Ty-Mawr Range

BeecksSO

Highly recommended for diffusible and permanently elastic covering oil coatings on woodwork and steel exposed to the weather. Suitable on size-consistent components, like doors and windows, as well as wood sidings, framework or dormers. Ideal for renovation of weathered, recoatable oil and resin paints on historical buildings. Extremely weather-proof. No tendency to peel even when severely weathered.

Satin-gloss finish.

Suitable for: external wood and metalwork including cast iron.

Please note, this product must be thinned with Beecks/Aglaia lacquer thinners for best results.

Ty-Mawr has recently launched a new colour range - 'inspired by our environment' with soft colour tones such as "Sweet Cicely" and "Priory Pink" through to the richer tones of "Solomon's Seal" and "Wild Strawberry". Click here for Press Release.

We are also able to tailor-mix paints to match a particular colour as can be seen in this image - this paint colour was specifically designed and mixed for the National Trust to match the original colour as closely as possible - email tymawr@lime.org.uk for further information or call our sales team on 01874 611350 to discuss your requirements.

"You may recall that we purchased AGLAIA exterior wood paint from you in September (Garter Blue)...we were impressed with the finish achieved (as opposed to (our usual) Linseed oil paint) which we have specified many times previously) and, on the strength of this, instructed (the contractors) to obtain this paint (in Black and White) for use in a project currently ongoing". ARCHITECTS, North Wales.

Beecks Stand Oil paint now replaces Aglaia Weather Protection Lacquer.  These paints are manufactured by the same Company and we have decided to Stand Oil as this contains 4% biocides to cope better with UK conditions.

Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the colour and texture of products on this website but due to the limitations of technology, we strongly recommend that sample products are purchased for testing in situ prior to the full order being placed.

They are made from environmentally friendly, renewable materials; conventional paints are still often based on petro-chemicals (causing huge environmental problems) and fossil fuels like crude oil (that are too precious to burn).

There is no human health hazard to users or those living and working in the space afterwards.

100% VOC-free naturally.

These products have a full declaration of ingredients and descriptions of their composition and origination, unlike many of the paints claiming to be 'green' on the market today.

They are technically good i.e. easy-to-use, hard-wearing and proven over a large number of years on thousands of square metres of wall and wood. However, because they do not have conventional artificial drying agents etc, instructions must be followed.

They are highly vapour permeable and therefore compatible with other natural and traditional building materials. They can directly help to control damp/condensation within a building.
