Our team are able to design a floor to meet the needs of your specific building, ensuring that you get the best performance for your building and as well as meet building regulations if required. 

Our floor system has LABC (Local Authority Building Control) Systems Approval and can therefore be used in all 376 local authority areas across the country.

Expanded Clay Aggregate (LECA)

This lightweight aggregate is an alternative component to the HASOPOR recycled foamed glass for the insulation layer .

It has been used for many years for this application and is still popular as it is an economic alternative to the recycled foamed glass.

Lightweight Aggregate For Limecrete Slab

TECHNOpor Recycled Foamed Glass

TECHNOpor Recycled Foamed Glass is a superior loosefill insulating aggregate ideal for use in our LABC accredited limecrete flooring system.

Our flooring system does not include a moisture impermeable barrier (Damp Proof Membrane). The control of ingress of moisture is achieved by using a layer of Technopor recycled foamed glass aggregate beneath the slab material. This material carries European Technical Approval  and is certified to resist the wicking of moisture above a known height.

This material also has an excellent thermal resistance capability. We calculate the thickness of this layer to provide a specified U Value, taking into account the length/thickness of
perimeter walls, overall floor area etc - see Accredited Floor Calculation Form.
