What is Glaster plaster suitable for?

Glaster can be used as a mortar for building or as a plaster/render for internal and external walls. It can be manually applied or spray applied, and can be trowelled to a polished finish if required or sponged to reveal more of the aggregate. It can be applied to most conventional substrates such as stone, brick, block and building boards. They can be used as a decorative finish for internal plasters and external renders, or as building mortars. They have undergone testing against European Standards (please call for further information).


What are the environmental benefits of Glaster?

The award-winning Glaster products are beneficial to the environment because they reduce the extraction of sand whilst developing a market for recycled bottles.


What sort of finish does Glaster give?

Glaster can be varied by adjusting the colour and size of the glass aggregate, to provide, for example, a fine all-blue finish or a coarse mixed green finish. Natural pigments can also be added to the lime plaster to vary the background tones. Alternatively, it can be painted like an ordinary lime plaster with any of Ty-Mawr’s vapour permeable paints.

Base/Scratch Coats
1 x 25kg bag covers 1sqm @ 7-8mm thick
1 tonne covers 40sqm @ 7 – 8mm thick

Finish Coats
1 x 25kg bag covers 3sqm @ 3mm thick
1 tonne covers 120sqm @ 3 mm thick
