The Porthmawr Gatehouse in Crickhowell, Powys has been recently re-limewashed to protect the underlying Medieval stone-work which is now subject to the traffic fumes, salt etc of the busy A40 through South/Mid Wales.
It conceals the Porthmawr Mansion which is now a Country House where you can stay. It is described as cool and classical, stylish and spacious.
